In its fifth year, Fuller’s charity football tournament welcomed 32 teams—an increase from 24 last year—each playing in unified six-a-side matches. Athletes from Ascot United Warriors and Special Olympics Essex football clubs were paired with Fuller’s employees and supplier teams, creating an inclusive environment where people with and without intellectual disabilities could play side-by-side. This unique setup strengthens Fuller’s partnership with Special Olympics GB while also promoting meaningful connections through sport.
Oliver Rosevear, Fuller’s Sustainability Director, expressed pride in the growing success of the event, noting that the tournament “was bigger than ever.” Rosevear highlighted not only the financial support raised but also the invaluable relationship-building and inclusive culture fostered through the event. Fuller’s is also expanding its commitment to inclusivity with a newly launched Guide to Inclusive Recruitment, inspired in part by the success of the tournament. Rosevear extended a special thanks to all participants, referees, and the team behind the event’s smooth execution, offering congratulations to team Cabbage Patch, this year’s champions.
