Gaynor and Anthony have been running the Warwickshire Lad, a family-run pub owned by independent pub company Punch Pubs & Co., for more than twelve years. Anthony welcomed Nadhim to their pub on Friday and took him on a full tour of the microbrewery and a preview of their new-look garden area.

The couple have completed a significant investment in the microbrewery with Silhill and their garden in readiness for summer trading. Guests visiting the pub can now enjoy the benefits of improved seating, a new patio dining area and lush scenery when sampling the pub's well-loved food offering, drinks or the new selection of great-tasting ales created on site. Guests looking to take advantage of the new microbrewery are invited to book one of the specialist tours and lunch packages or hire the space for private functions.

During his visit, Nadhim was keen to hear about Anthony's recent experiences in the hospitality industry and hopes for the future.

Publican Anthony Thorpe said: " We're so proud to be able to welcome Nadhim here today to mark the start of this new venture. We always knew this pub had potential, it's looking fantastic, and we cannot wait for our guests to enjoy it. It makes all the hard work worthwhile."

Rt Hon Nadhim Zahawi MP said: "It’s been an absolute pleasure to visit the Warwickshire Lad today to officially launch this great partnership between two local businesses and I’m sure it’s going to prove a hit with the community and visitors to the area.”

Punch Pubs Chief Operating Officer Andy Spencer said: "It's a great pleasure to join Anthony today and celebrate the opening of such an exciting new venture. The Warwickshire Lad is a fantastic pub, and this recent investment reflects Anthony and Gaynor’s passion for running an epic pub. I would also like to thank Nadhim for taking time out of his busy schedule to be here today. It was great to have the time to share our experiences of the challenges and pressures local hospitality businesses such as the Warwickshire Lad are currently experiencing."

Adam Stevenson, Silhill Brewery said: “We’re very excited to be working with the Warwickshire Lad and expanding our brewing capacity, experience brewing with us and understand how beer is made. The brew lab part is an experimental kit that will help with the development of new or special beers.”
