Shepherd Neame

Britain’s oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame has been based in the market town of Faversham, Kent for over 300 years. Perhaps best known for great British classic ales such as Spitfire Amber, which carries the Royal Warrant, its diverse portfolio includes the Bear Island and Whitstable Bay collections. It also brews international lagers under licence including premium Thai lager Singha.

The independent family business boasts an award-winning visitor centre and more than 300 pubs and hotels throughout London and the South East, from the historic heart of the City to the Kent coastline.

Shepherd Neame is committed to supporting the community they serve and established Sheps Giving to provide a focus for their efforts. Their chosen Charity of the Year for 2024 is Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS).

Shepherd Neame has supported a diverse range of local events including Broadstairs Folk Week, Faversham Literary Festival and Faversham Hop Festival. They even appear as a landmark on Faversham’s own Monopoly board, with proceeds from every game going directly to local good causes.

They are also very active with local sports, partnering with groups including Kent Cricket, Maidstone United FC, Bromley FC and Kent Rugby.

Their long-standing commitment to sustainability and community was recognised with PubAid’s Corporate Community Hero Award in May 2024.
