Titanic Brewery has launched a new initiative to strengthen its commitment to the communities around its pubs and bars. The Titanic Brewery Foundation, an independent entity partially funded by the brewery, aims to support local projects and causes within a 10-mile radius of any Titanic pub or bod Café Bar.

The foundation is designed to benefit charities, community interest companies, and grassroots projects that enhance the lives of residents near Titanic’s locations. Grants ranging from £250 to £2,500 are available to support local initiatives, providing funding for equipment, activities, or projects that positively impact the community.

Dave Bott, a Director at Titanic Brewery, explained, “Since we first started brewing in 1985, we have been committed to bringing people together with great beer. Our business wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for these communities, which is why we’ve decided to establish this foundation as a way to give back and support some of the incredible charitable work that happens on our doorstep.”

He added, ” Pubs across the country are at the beating heart of their communities and we have always tried to support the amazing people who live near our outlets. The Foundation will mean that some of the proceeds from every pint we sell will go straight to the people we care about most. Those customers who want to will also be able to convert their Titanic Loyalty Points into donations that will go straight to the foundation.” _

The Titanic Brewery Foundation has already made a significant impact, distributing £9,300 to seven organisations in its first wave of funding. Among the recipients are Newport Cottage Care, which received £1,000 to create a quiet room for dementia day care services, and St Vincent Explorer Sea Scouts, awarded £2,500 for new tents and outdoor camping equipment.

Dave Bott further explained, “These grants are not intended for day-to-day running costs, but rather for those investments that have always been just out of reach. We want the foundation to help organisations enrich the lives of local communities, and we’re excited to see these groups continue their vital work.”

Community groups looking to apply for funding in the second wave can find more information and application details at the Titanic Brewery Foundation website.
